Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does a leader use the WorkTango platform? What do I have access to?
Your HR colleagues will determine which leaders will have access to the WorkTango platform. If you are among those individuals, you will be provided with "user" access.

When invited to the platform, you should expect the following:

  1. To receive an email invitation from pulse@worktango.io with the subject line "You're Invited to WorkTango."

  2. Upon receiving this email, create an account

  3. Moving forward, you will be logging into the account using your email address and password. Make sure to bookmark the platform's URL: https://app.worktango.com.

Your access will provide you with the ability to see survey results and insights within your hierarchy. If you have custom access, you can view a subset of your results by applying filtering when looking at survey results.

When you log into the WorkTango platform, you will be brought to the survey page. Simply click on a survey to enter into reporting. Refer to this article for more guidance on reporting or this video for a tutorial.

2. What if I have a very large team with other leaders I want access to?
As a leader, you will have the ability to view results for your direct reports' teams by choosing "People Leader" as a filter for reporting. The names of any leaders reporting up to you will be listed. You can view either their direct report results, or overall hierarchy reports by toggling between the 2 reporting views.

3. I'm not seeing any data...Why is that?
To protect the confidentiality and honest feedback of employees, WorkTango applies an anonymity threshold to all surveys. If a team or cohort falls under this threshold, their individual results will be anonymized. As a leader, if you have a number of direct reports that falls below this threshold, you will not be able to see any reporting data. A typical threshold is 5, though your company may identify a different quantity.

4. Can I compare all leaders in my hierarchy?
Yes. The 'Analyze' tab in the platform allows you to compare all leaders in your hierarchy, granted they pass the anonymity threshold defined by your company. Viewing heatmap under the 'Heatmap' tab also allows us to visualize and compare the leaders.

5. Can I see trends over time?
Yes. The 'Trends' tab in the platform allows you to see responses over the course of time that can be viewed by any question or category you select.

6. Why am I limited to only see my team, and not ALL the data?
The administrator in your company has identified roles in the platform with different reporting permissions. As a leader, your user access offers insight for employees in your hierarchy. If you'd like to see all information, please ask the WorkTango administrator at your company.

7. What is action planning?

Action planning allows leaders to identify and assign actions to themselves or others within their hierarchies in response to survey results. These actions are intended to inspire change, improvement, and accountability. To learn more about action planning refer to this article.

8. Can anyone else see what feedback my team has offered?
The only administrators with access to your specific team's data has been defined by the WorkTango administrator at your company. Others with leader access cannot see another leader's results UNLESS they are above them in the company hierarchy. This means it's possible for your leader and anyone above them to access feedback from your direct reports.

9. Are the insights anonymous?
Insights are anonymous at up to a certain anonymity threshold. For example, if any leader has less than 5 direct reports that have completed a survey, data will show up as 'not enough data.' This is meant to protect the privacy of employees to gather honest feedback.
